What to Expect When You Book a Session With Me

Booking a photo session can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time or you’re unsure what to expect. My goal is to make the entire process as simple, clear, and stress-free as possible, so you can focus on what matters: showing up, being yourself, and creating something beautiful together.

When you first reach out, I’ll ask a few quick questions about what type of session you’re interested in, your preferred date or general availability, and any location ideas you might have. From there, I’ll send you a personalized quote that outlines everything included in the session, as well as any optional add-ons you may want to consider. I also apply a 20% discount for friends and family—just a small way to say thank you for trusting me.

If you decide to move forward, all that’s needed to officially book your session is accepting the quote, signing the contract, and paying your deposit. Everything is done digitally for your convenience. Once we’re booked, I’ll send over a session prep guide that includes tips on what to wear, what to bring, and how to prepare—especially helpful if you’re bringing little ones or are feeling unsure in front of the camera.

Most of my sessions take place around golden hour for the best lighting, and I always confirm your start time and location in the days leading up to the shoot. I’ll also send a final email 2–3 days before your session just to check in and make sure everything feels good on your end.

On the day of the shoot, you don’t need to know how to pose or “perform” for the camera. I’ll guide you through it all with easy, natural prompts and direction so the experience feels laid-back and authentic—not stiff or overly posed. Whether it’s a family session, couples shoot, or individual portraits, I always work to make you feel comfortable, confident, and seen.

Your full gallery will be delivered within 3–4 weeks, ready to download, share, and print however you’d like.
