Dogs Are Part of the Family Too! | Mobile, Al Family Photoshoot

Recently I had the absolute pleasure of working with the Heflin family, and let me tell you, it was such a blast! They reached out because they wanted to capture some sweet moments together, and they had a special request—incorporating their fur babies into the mix. I mean, how adorable is that? There’s just something about family portraits that make my heart flutter, and when you add in some playful pups, it takes it to a whole new level!

We headed out to the most gorgeous spot on Dauphin Island, Alabama. Seriously, the location was just perfect, with the soft sand and gentle waves creating a stunning backdrop. The natural light was on our side that day, dancing beautifully across their faces and highlighting their personalities. You could see the love and connection not just between the Heflins but also with their furry friends. Watching them interact, laughing and goofing around, made it feel like I was capturing real-life magic.

What I love most about being out there at the beach is the way the scenery complements the families I photograph. It’s like nature adds this extra layer of warmth and happiness to every frame. The Alabama coastline has a charm that’s hard to beat—not just in the sunrise colors but in how it brings people closer together. By the end of the session, it truly felt like we had created something special; not just photos but memories frozen in time.
